What to do if you have a Block
First, relax. By trying harder to think of something the farther away it will get. Try visualizing the character with you and what he/she/it would want you to write.You characters influence the plot and should also influence your writing.
Sometimes you need to add something between main plot actions. This is called filler, while not essential to the main plot it adds rest periods and comedy to the story. Some examples of filler:
- A Flashback
- A side story
- A description of the character or their surrounding
- Use similes such as "she was as beautiful as a rose bush in full bloom."
